Oruro, Bolivia -- People throughout the city of Oruro had numerous opportunities to see and film UFOs during the month of October.

The multiple events first began on October 8 and during that first weekend, as many hundreds of people participated in the celebration of Faro del Conchupata (light of the Conchupata) from around 18:30 to 23:00hrs. At that time there also appeared many different objects in the sky.

Peering through binoculars, Alvaro Rojas reported seeing several UFOs that danced, or moved from side to side, while changing color above him. Another citizen on his way to the celebration also caught sight of the luminous lights to the north of the city.

In the early hours of October 10, several neighbors noticed the presence of a strange object in the sky and contacted the media. At first, the object seemed like a star, but the celestial body moved from one place to another.

A journalist of RedBolivia, with camera in hand, flew in an aircraft over the city where the ufo was seen and captured the objject on film. It appeared as a inverted cone and a smaller cone within.

Some 36 kilometers to the northeast of Oruro witnesses described seeing a blinding light in the form of a globe on October 20. It was so bright it illuminated the ground for about two kilometers around.

UFO investigator Álvaro Munguía Becker arrived in the city to study the eyewitness reports and evaluate the phenomenon. He even described the events as representing a "big wave" in sightings for that area.

There are many credible and varied images captured on film, said the investigator, who cautiously added that the evidence does not necessarily mean there has been visitation from extraterrestrials. Nevertheless, he said, similar images have been analyzed in Spain, England and the United States.

"They agree totally and we can say that the images caught by a diverse group of people as this must next be digitally analyzed, to determine the number of pixels, color, heat, while attempting to discard those representing atmospheric phenomena, meteorological, ballistic missiles or airplanes," added Becker.

VALPARAISO, Chile - An extremely large, intensely bright light was visible on Sunday night at around 22:30hrs, to many residents of Viña del Mar and Valparaiso.

Witnesses say the phenomenon remained clearly visible in the sky for nearly half an hour, during which time the light reduced in luminosity. While some observers also reported seeing other unidentified green and blue lights appearing nearby.

While no official announcement has been made in respect of this event, the area has already recorded several earlier UFO sightings.
